How did you first get into your profession?
I was an accounting major at Notre Dame and, during a summer working at one of the big accounting firms, I decided to attend law school to learn more about, and focus on, tax planning and structuring and business/corporate law.
If you had to choose another profession, what would it be?
I enjoy working with numbers, reviewing financials and finding cost savings, so I would be a consultant or CFO.
What business advice would you give someone just starting in your industry?
To stay as broad, and learn as much as possible in their first years. Also, to find a good mentor and advocate within your firm or company to help you grow and succeed.
What is a little known fact about yourself?
I grew up in a small town in Florida named Niceville (and, yes, it’s nice there).
