LAS VEGAS – Moonridge Group elevates community engagement in Las Vegas with its new Board Matchmaker database. Board Matchmaker will take philanthropic activity to new levels as it strategically places passionate individuals seeking opportunities for board participation and volunteerism with non-profit organizations seeking new volunteer leaders. Unique to Las Vegas and fulfilling a crucial role absent from the local philanthropic landscape, Board Matchmaker will streamline a new form of communication integrating both individuals and organizations.
Soft launched in August, Board Matchmaker is an example of Moonridge Group’s use of collaborative philanthropy to create a better pipeline for community involvement in Las Vegas. “The greatest challenge is taking an intention and executing it as an action,” said Anna Auerbach, vice president of strategy and special projects at Moonridge Group. “We are hopeful this new tool will create a simplistic route to those looking to give back and for organizations in need of board members and volunteers.
Board Matchmaker’s fee-free service is based on a simple survey that categorizes individuals on personal background, sector of interest, monetary giving level, and time available to dedicate as a board member. Moonridge Group’s philanthropic experts will then pair the individual with an organization based on its needs in the areas of time, financial commitment and expertise. Participating organizations seeking individuals range in nature from education, arts and culture, natural environment, health and human services, and many more.
Board Matchmaker is a part of Moonridge Group’s educational portal that provides the latest insight and resources of the philanthropic field through online tools, workshops and publications.
