RENO — Vince Griffith, project coordinator and long-time executive at Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, is stepping away from his responsibilities at the Storey County industrial center to focus on his growing commercial, industrial and office real estate ventures throughout the Reno area.
Griffith leads two local businesses, Reno Engineering Corporation and Reno Land & Cattle. Reno Engineering specializes in civil engineering and development services. Reno Land & Cattle is a development company focused on downtown real estate, and office and industrial build-to-suit projects.
Griffith has made a significant investment in downtown Reno over the past five years and now owns portions of the Palladio building, Arlington Towers, and a three-story office building on the corner of Marsh and Lander streets. Reno Land & Cattle is proud to house growing and thriving small and medium-sized Reno businesses, including software startups like Inqiri, gaming programmer Crazy Tooth Studio and the entrepreneurs of the Reno Collective.
Griffith said he plans to dedicate more time toward redevelopment projects, economic development efforts and industrial development across the region.
“As a Nevadan passionate about the economic development of state, I look forward to expanding my focus to the entire region with no limitations,” said Griffith.
Griffith’s decision to step away from the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center comes on the heels of one of the region’s biggest economic development victories. The center was recently announced as one of the finalists for Tesla’s gigafactory, a $5 billion project that could add 6,500 jobs to the regional economy.
“I am proud to be part of the regional team responsible for Tesla’s decision to name Northern Nevada as a finalist for its new facility,” said Griffith. “It shows us all that if we work together our state can achieve incredible success. It also showed me that it was time to focus on what I knew I could accomplish for our region and resurging downtown.”
Griffith has held the title of project coordinator with signature authority for the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center and South Meadows Properties for over 20 years. As part of the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center executive team he has been responsible for various corporate duties in addition to his engineering role. He will continue to provide engineering support services to the industrial center but now will be free to assist other regional projects as well as focusing on his own developments.
“We can now offer site selections services directly to companies or through their real estate professionals, which allows us to find the perfect fit for each industrial client,” said Griffith. “We will also now offer master planning services for industrial projects of regional significance.”
