The Las Vegas Veterans Memorial Foundation is seeking $2.2 million through its Brick Campaign, where bricks are being sold at a range of $250 to $550. All bricks can be purchased in honor of a veteran and customized with the veteran’s name, rank, dates of service and branch. The foundation hopes to sell 2,500 bricks, which will be installed at the memorial.
“The Brick Campaign is in response to the public wanting to donate to the Las Vegas Veterans Memorial on behalf of their loved ones and allows the community to take ownership in building this memorial,” said Scott Tiano, executive director of the Las Vegas Veterans Memorial.
“We’re also being approached by groups and individuals wanting to hold small fundraisers to buy bricks on behalf of veterans who might not be in a position to purchase one.”
The completion of the memorial is scheduled for late 2015.
