First Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program Coming to Nevada

April 18, 2014 By Ben Rowley Leave a Comment

Nevada’s first osteopathic fellowship program has the green light.

The American Osteopathic Association approved Nathan Adelson Hospice for a Hospice and Palliative Medicine Program. The program is a collaboration between the hospice and Touro University Nevada. This is a first-of-its-kind fellowship in Nevada and one of only 11 in the nation, according to a recent statement by Nathan Adelson Hospice.

“The creation of a formal Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine Program is a significant step in the evolution of Nathan Adelson Hospice as a leader in providing clinical services and professional education in hospice and palliative medicine in Southern Nevada,” said Nathan Adelson Hospice President and Chief Executive Officer Carole Fisher. “Launching this program is a major step for an organization in Nevada and is a solid reflection on the type of care being offered here.”
