NCED Offers Incentives to Companies Moving to Nevada
The Nevada Commission on Economic Development (NCED), chaired by Lieutenant Governor Brian Krolicki, has granted tax abatements to four companies for relocation and expansion efforts in Nevada that will result in more than $5 million in capital investment and 61 new jobs.
Micro-lending expands in Rural Nevada through USDA Partnership
Rural Nevada businesses with fewer that 10 employees can now receive funding through the Rural Micro-entrepreneur Assistance Program (RMAP). The Rural Nevada Development Corporation (RNDC) will recieve a $500,000 loan and $103,000 grant to provide financial and technical assistance and training to rural entrepreneurs. RNDC will direct the micro-loans to small businesses in rural areas, with loans ranging between $500 and $50,000.
Office of Energy’s Revolving Loan Program Brings Revenue to Nevada
The Nevada State Office of Energy’s (NSOE) Revolving Loan program has provided over $8 million in low-cost loans to renewable energy project developers. Several projects are currently underway throughout the state, including a manufacturing facility in Lyon and Churchill Counties for Avatar Energy.
