What inspired you to get into your industry?
As a child, before I even knew what lawyers did, I would say that I wanted to be an attorney. After about five years in Washington, DC working for a national non-profit organization, I decided to go back to law school. I continue to enjoy the competitive nature of litigation.
How do you encourage growth and development within your organization?
In my career, I have benefitted from working with employers willing to take chances with me and allow me to try new things and pursue new aspects of my work. I am convinced that good people want to improve, do good work and excel in their professions. My job is to provide the opportunity to attempt new tasks and use sometimes hidden skill sets.
