This April, Bank of George will welcome its clients to a brand-new regional office in Henderson. The beautiful new facility will join the Headquarters bank office of Bank of George, on West Russell Road and I-215, in offering a full range of business banking services delivered with a level of personal attention that is outstanding in the industry. In fact, it’s precisely its reputation for excellent management and extraordinary service that enables Bank of George to be expanding in a market where many of its competitors are contracting.
A little history is helpful. A few years ago, a group of southern Nevada entrepreneurs, professionals and executives decided they needed a bank that really understood business financing within the unique context of the Las Vegas environment. In thinking about a new bank, Edward M. Nigro, Antonio T. Alamo, M.D., Diane F. Fearon, Timothy Herbst, William J. Hornbuckle, Gary Johnson, CPA, Rudy R. Manthei, D.O., Troy Nelson, Michael Nigro, Todd A. Nigro, Jonathan Schwartz and Alan C. Sklar all wanted a financial institution that would share the important values of our country’s founding father. Strong leadership, integrity and dedication to the community are the core values that everyone agreed were critical to developing a new way of doing business. From these seminal discussions, Bank of George was founded in 2007 as a community commercial bank.
The Bank of George executive team and board of directors reflect its underlying philosophy. From its first days, the bank has been known for its excellent and thoughtful management. It operates with a high degree of respect and collaboration between all of its stakeholders, whether they are clients, shareholders, directors or employees. Management decisions are based on sound banking principles and with long-term relationships in mind. The team is experienced at balancing innovation with fiscal responsibility and, hence, is able to report strong growth and expanded operations; as well as maintaining its position of strength as it pertains to the bank’s capital and liquidity despite the prevailing challenging economic conditions.
The bank sees its exemplary service as the other critical component in its success. Bank of George understands its niche very well. Its business customer wants individualized, flexible and creative attention, delivered seamlessly and with state of the art technology. Every Bank of George employee is committed to providing its clients with this highly personalized level of service, and bank management is committed to providing the support to enable them to do so.
Noel Thompson, who will manage the new Henderson Regional office, is an excellent example. Thompson is an energetic executive with years of progressively responsible experience in the banking industry. Since joining Bank of George in 2008, he has worked closely with CEO Diane Fearon to develop the broad-based knowledge and customer service focus he will take with him to the new regional office. As the dynamic leader of an experienced team, Thompson will play a major role in business development and account service with the Henderson office. It is anticipated that professionals and small to medium size businesses will benefit from the bank’s increased accessibility.
Bank of George is proud of its strong record of growth and community contribution in southern Nevada. With the addition of the Henderson office, it becomes an intelligent choice for a whole new set of clients. Clearly, Bank of George is committed to being an important player in the evolving financial marketplace.
