Stephen Jackson Joins Las Vegas Office of Perkowitz+Ruth Architects as Designer Manager

LAS VEGAS. (Oct. 18, 2007) - Stephen Jackson, who was recognized among the "100 Best Architects of the Southwest" by Desert Living Magazine in 2005, has joined the Las Vegas office of Perkowitz+Ruth Architects as Design Manager.

"We are so pleased to have Stephen join our staff," said Deborah McCutcheon, Director of the Las Vegas office of P+R Architects. "He is an extremely talented designer and architect whose unique vision enables him to create the beautiful places that people appreciate."

A licensed architect in Nevada and California, Jackson brings with him an extensive portfolio with experience in designing resorts, hotels, casinos and restaurants, as well as office, industrial, retail and residential spaces.


Most recently, Jackson operated his own studio at The Arts Factory in Downtown Las Vegas where he designed the renovation of the historic 50,000-square foot Holsum Lofts Building, a former bakery, into The Holsum Design Center for LaPour Partners, Inc. The project was listed among Desert Living's "100 Favorite Buildings."

Past experience also includes six years as Design Director for Howard F. Thompson Associates (HFTA), in addition to working with various firms designing for clients such as Harrah's, MGM Grand and Station Casinos.

Jackson earned a Bachelor of Architecture with High Honors from the University of Texas in 1975 and is certified by the National Architecture Registration Board (NCARB). He is also a featured artist of computer manipulated digital photography. His work was featured at The Venetian Hotel Resort & Casino at The Spa and will be on display this Fall at Saks 5th Avenue.
