December 29, 2008.... Las Vegas, Nevada... For an entire decade Nevada Association Services, Inc. (NAS, Inc.) has been the go-to collections expert on behalf of homeowners associations throughout the Silver State. As they celebrate the company's 10th birthday in 2009, President David Stone and Vice President Andrea Behrens are saying "thanks" to clients and employees.
"Some of our employees have been working here from the very beginning, and we're so appreciative for that," says Stone. "We'd also like to extend thanks to our clients. We're thrilled about the longevity of our working relationships, and look forward to whatever the future holds."
NAS, Inc. is the state's largest assessment collection company, and also one of the most successful: The company has a 98 percent success rate in collecting delinquent assessments from government agencies such as HUD, Veteran's Administration and bank-owned properties. NAS, Inc. was the proud recipient of a Nevada Entrepreneur Award from In Business Las Vegas in November, 2008.
In addition to collections, Stone and Behrens focus on education for homeowners associations and community managers. The company's executives regularly attend board meetings and offer free seminars on a range of topics. It's all a part of the company's hands-on approach.
As the economy worsens, NAS, Inc. has seen business increase 25 percent in the last year. But Stone says that in many cases his company is able to act as a liaison between the homeowner and the homeowners association to devise a settlement or "work-out" arrangement.
"These are hard times, but if you follow certain procedures you will end up having a higher level of collection success," says Stone. "Our goal is not only collecting from homeowners, but helping the homeowner stay in their home. And when a bank has foreclosed on a property we work closely with the HOA client to collect monies due to them."
Thanks to NAS, Inc.'s ability to communicate with homeowners, Stone says that his company deals with fewer foreclosures now than even five years ago. At a time when foreclosures are skyrocketing, that's testament to success. So are ten years of service.
Nevada Association Services, Inc. (http://www.nas-inc.com) is a licensed collections agency and assessment collections firm serving homeowners associations and community managers throughout the state. The company specializes in the non-judicial foreclosure process.
David Stone, a licensed real estate broker and real estate investor, launched NAS, Inc. in 1999 to collect assessments for homeowners associations. Andrea Behrens, a licensed real estate agent, is vice president, sales and marketing.
The company works with more than 1,100 associations, and in 2008 alone collected in excess of $10 million in assessments for clients. Because the company charges the homeowner and not the HOA, the associations pay nothing for use of NAS, Inc.'s services. Nevada Association Services, Inc. may be reached at (702) 804-8885 or (775) 322-8005.
