LAS VEGAS - The Wealth Consulting Group, a full-service wealth management firm, named Chris Bunker chief investment officer.

As the Chief Investment Officer, Chris is responsible for the financial planning and investment research division of the firm. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Chris graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University in 1983 and with his Masters of Public Administration degree from American University in Washington D.C. in 1986. He began his career in the Internal Audit department of Clark County Nevada. In 1987 he was hired as Portfolio manager in the Clark County Treasurer's office where he worked until 1993. While at the treasurer's office the investment portfolio grew from $230 million to $2.2 billion. In 1993 Chris formed Nevada Institutional Investors and began a portfolio management/municipal finance consulting firm. While running Nevada Institutional Investors he managed approximately $2.2 billion in fixed income securities and consulted on approximately $250 million in other assets.
