EDAWN Names Lindsay George Business Manager

Reno, Nev. - The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) has announced Lindsay George as business manager.
In her position, George will oversee the organization's accounting, budgeting and financial reporting. She will manage EDAWN's accountability systems, including preparing grant applications and assisting the overall company in meeting its financial goals. George assumes an existing position at EDAWN that was recently vacated.
"Lindsay will play a fundamental role at EDAWN in assisting us in operations, client services and reporting," said Chuck Alvey, president and CEO of EDAWN. "As our organization continues to recruit and expand quality companies, we look to Lindsay for financial analysis and expertise for EDAWN, the community and our partners."
Most recently, George worked as the business manager at The CFO Group, Inc., a company providing outsourced accounting services and accounting consulting. She managed employee programs and accounting. Additionally, she provided financial reporting, forecasting and analysis. Prior to that position, she was a financial analyst at Skagen Designs, Ltd., developing sales reports and building forecasting models for the company.
George earned a master of arts degree in economics from University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) in December 2006. Previously, she earned a bachelor of science in business administration from UNR. She volunteers as a charter member for Soroptimist International of Washoe County, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and children.
