Continuum of Orthopedic care under one roof through BJI Orthopedics, Peak Performance Physical Therapy and Nevada Sports Academy

HENDERSON, Nev. -BJI Orthopedics, one of Las Vegas' most successful orthopedic and sports medicine practices, is about to get a new home with the construction start of the Crovetti Medical Center. Founded by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Michael J. Crovetti, for which the building is named, BJI will join Peak Performance Therapy and Fitness Center and the Nevada Sports Academy as the primary tenants of the new 39,761-square-foot mixed-use medical facility. The $12.5 million, two-story building includes a state-of-the art ambulatory surgery center with two Class C operating rooms. Located at the corner of Coronado Center Drive and Horizon Ridge in Henderson the building also includes available retail space suitable for a sandwich shop, coffee/juice bar or similar establishment and additional medical office space. For patient convenience, the Crovetti Medical Center has a detached two-story, 100-space parking garage. The project is being developed by Stable Development. The contractor is Korte Company. Construction is expected to be completed by March 2008.

The Crovetti Medical Center is the future of orthopedic care, providing a continuum of care under one roof. From initial exams to MRI testing to surgery and subsequent physical therapy rehab as well as the availability of the latest in sports injury prevention and training - all can be found at the Crovetti Medical Center.

"Since graduating from medical school it's been a dream of mine to provide patients with access to a practice that offers not only medical care, but an environment that creates a sense of comfort and ease eliminating as much stress as possible; all of which can aid in recovery," said Crovetti.

BJI Orthopedics, which will be located on the second floor of the new building, is designed to put patients at ease as they seamlessly move through the exam process, including the immediate availability of the MRI and on-site result evaluation. BJI will have a direct entrance elevator, 12 exam rooms, seven of which overlook the Nevada Sports Academy's sports track, a nurse's station, a spacious waiting area, X-ray and MRI facilities, and an on-site business office. In addition, all BJI physicians have on-site offices.

The ultra-modern Surgery Center will be as innovative as any of the Valley's newest health care facilities. The Surgery Center includes private entrances, pre-operative rooms; two state-of-the-art surgery suites; anesthesia work up rooms and private recovery rooms; exam rooms, and nurses' stations, as well as inviting waiting areas and a spacious reception center for easy check in.

Peak Performace Therapy & Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art physical therapy rehabilitation center equipped with the latest in physical rehabilitation equipment and is staffed by trained specialists.

The Nevada Sports Academy featuring a high-tech design sets the standard for cross-training athletic programs. The engaging open air layout draws the eye to such features as a two-story running track, with stadium steps and an outdoor sprint track. With plenty of natural light, athletes can participate in sports-specific training on the artificial turf area and work out in the Technogym fitness center perhaps followed by aquatic therapy in the Swimex pool, the only one of its kind in Nevada.
