NCET is honored with 2007 Silver Star Award

NCET - Nevada's Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology recognized for its efforts to improve quality of life

(RENO, Nev.) - NCET -- Nevada's Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology -- was selected as a 2007 Silver Star award winner for Truckee Meadows Tomorrow's 10th anniversary Accentuate the Positive celebration scheduled for October 5, 2007 at John Ascuaga’s Nugget. NCET was selected for the remarkable work that it has done to positively impact the Entrepreneurship Quality of Life Indicator.

NCET fosters an environment in which Nevada's high-growth entrepreneurial companies can succeed and flourish. NCET's annual events include the Donald W. Reynolds Collegiate Business Plan Competition, two Venture Capital conferences, Technology Summits and the popular "eWeek" Entrepreneur Week.

NCET was selected from a pool of more than 150 nominations. The record number of nominations was submitted online by businesses and community members between February 25th and April 30th. The review committee, comprised of active community members and leaders, had the difficult job of reviewing each nomination with the intention of identifying one Silver Star for each of the 33 Quality of Life Indicators.

NCET will showcase it award-winning projects and efforts in the Avenue of the Stars exhibits leading into the Accentuate the Positive celebration on October 5, 2007 in the Rose Ballroom at John Ascuaga's Nugget.
