New Firm to Provide Economic Consulting Services

(Reno, NV)- Eugenia Larmore and Candace Evart, formerly with Meridian Business Advisors, have launched Ekay Economic Consultants, Inc. (EEC), a firm specializing in governmental economic and fiscal impact analyses, litigation support and gaming feasibility services.
Eugenia Larmore, former Director with Meridian Business Advisors, is the President of Ekay Economic Consultants. She provides litigation support services in the field of economic damages, including wrongful termination, discrimination, wrongful death, personal injury, breach of contract/contract dispute, unfair competition, and business interruption cases. Larmore also has experience in local government finance, specifically as it relates to fiscal and economic impact analyses of real estate developments. Additionally, she has worked nationally with various gaming operators and local governments in gaming feasibility, fiscal and economic impacts of gaming and gaming litigation cases from a market and economic standpoint.
Larmore graduated from the University of Nevada Reno with a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree with High Distinction in International Business and Marketing with a minor in Economics. She is a nationally certified accredited valuation analyst (AVA), certified in management accounting (CMA) and certified forensic financial analyst (CFFA), specializing in Financial Litigation.
Candace Evart, former President of Meridian Business Advisors, serves as an Advisor to the new firm, providing planning, strategy and quality control services to the economic damages, the economic and fiscal analysis, and gaming feasibility and financial studies divisions of the firm. Candace holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Candace has more than 25 years of experience in local government financial analysis, both as a practitioner and a consultant. Her expertise includes the analysis of the economic impact on the private and public sectors generated by destination resorts with and without gaming, golf courses, and large residential and commercial projects. Candace has an extensive background in analyzing the economic and market feasibility of casinos and in this regard has been retained by both private and public sector clients in six countries, 15 states and three Canadian provinces. She has published several articles on the impact of casinos on local governments.
