Reno-Tahoe Young Professionals Network Hosts Annual Leadership Summit

Northern Nevada's premier young professional networking group, the Reno-Tahoe Young Professionals Network (RTYPN), is hosting their second annual Leadership Summit on Friday, November 7, 2008.
The Leadership Summit will bring together the Greater Reno-Tahoe area young business professionals to inform them on ways to further their professional careers through continued education and public service.
WHAT: Reno-Tahoe Young Professionals Network 'Making the Grade' Leadership Summit.
The event's keynote speaker is Darian Heyman, the Executive Director of the Craigslist Foundation. Heyman hails from the dot-com era with a can-do attitude and a fresh way of thinking about the needs of grassroots nonprofit organization.
The event also features the Pebble Project, a campaign aimed at encouraging young professionals to become actively involved in non-profit community organizations.
Breakout sessions include an educational leadership forum, a going green in business session, and a discussion panel focusing on the idea that 'you never stop learning'.
Immediately following the leadership summit is the RGJ Twenty Under 40 Awards.

COST: Fee includes reception: $60 members, $75 non-members.
WHO: Young professionals between the ages of 21 and 39 in northern Nevada.
RTYPN is dedicated to cultivating and retaining young professionals to meet the growing need for future skilled workers in northern Nevada. The group offers a place for young people who aim to contribute to their community; seek resources to help expand their education, businesses and/or contacts; and who genuinely consider the Truckee Meadows the best place to do business.
