Catania Center to Feature Office Over Retail in Southwest Las Vegas

Las Vegas, May 6, 2008 - New retail shopping center and office buildings, Catania Center North and South, are planned for the fast-growing southwest side of the Las Vegas Valley with a delivery date of first quarter 2009.

Gatski Commercial Real Estate Services is currently in the pre-leasing phase with commitments for a salon along with an executive suites operator out of California and a smoothie operator for the development at 6045 S. Durango Drive (Durango Drive and Patrick Lane).

The $13 million development will span three acres at Durango and Patrick surrounding both sides of Giuseppe's Bar and Grill.

Helix Construction is the contractor for the project.

Catania Center South Building One fronts Durango with 5,250 square feet divisible into three, 1,750-square-foot units and endcaps. Building Two fronts Patrick with 7,200 square feet divisible in six 1,200-square-foot units. Both buildings will have patio court space available for certain units.

The office space at Catania Center North is 10,000 square feet with views of the strip over 11,000 square feet of retail on the bottom. The property is in close proximity to the 215 Beltway and Patrick Lane. Catania Center North has room for a pad building ranging from 4,500 to 7,000 square feet that would be ideal for a bank or fast food with drive- thru capabilities.

"This is a solid location in the Southwest corridor due to its proximity to the UNLV Research and Technology Park, Southern Hills Hospital, Centra Park and Mosaic at West Village," Benz said. "The access to the beltway via Russell or Durango is very appealing to retailers and office users."
