Increasing revenue without traveling too much. It’s often hard to find the balance: juggling my career with my family and my non-profit work and still finding time for myself.
What do you like best about your job?
I truly enjoy helping others become more successful. I love the creative part of dreaming up ideas and then carefully choosing which will work.
How do you spend your time when you’re not working?
I enjoy coaching my son on soccer, volunteering at his school, reading, gardening, scrapbooking and visiting with friends and family. I also spend many hours as president of Nevada Gifted and Talented, advocating for Nevada students with gifts and talents.
Favorite Business Book:
The Art of Innovation, by Tom Kelly.
Best Business Advice:
Keep in mind not all business is good business. Stay customer-focused and you will be successful. Don’t wait for business to come to you – go out and get it.
What would you like your legacy to be?
I hope my passion for my work will inspire others to pursue careers that truly excite them. I would like to know that my positive attitude, contagious enthusiasm and love of life were good examples for family and friends.
What will some of your duties be as Professional Saleswomen of Nevada’s Professional Saleswoman of the Year?
My first duty will be to seek out other saleswomen and encourage them to join PSN. I will also contact businesses and ask them to nominate saleswomen for the Professional Saleswoman of the Year Award in 2005. I hope to be able to help saleswomen grow in their careers by offering coaching and training in all areas of sales through PSN and other sales organizations.

Offer a great service and always consider the bigger picture.
What would you like your legacy to be?
That I raised three honest, well-educated, well-adjusted, loving children and that I was fair.
What is the most outrageous excuse you have been given for a homeowner not paying HOA dues or a fine?
We work with homeowners to set up payment plans, but we have heard some really crazy stories. A gentleman told me he thought the certified mail he was receiving was all junk mail, so he simply threw it all away. Those mailings advised him of his delinquency and pending foreclosure sale of his home. We also had a woman who claimed – in 2004 – she did not open the certified mail we sent due to fear of Anthrax.
