Crovetti Medical Center Breaks Ground

BJI Orthopedics, a Las Vegas’orthopedic and sports medicine practice, recently broke ground on the Crovetti Medical Center. Founded by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Michael J. Crovetti, BJI will join Peak Performance Therapy and Fitness Center and the Nevada Sports Academy as the primary tenants of the new 39,761-square-foot mixed-use medical facility. The $12.5 million, two-story building includes a ambulatory surgery center with two Class C operating rooms. Stable Development is the developer and Korte Company is the contractor. Construction is expected to be completed in March 2008.

 

McCarran International Airport Expansion Continues

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. continues construction on the satellite “D” northwest wing addition and arresting cable vehicle barrier at McCarran International Airport. The $109 million project, awarded by the Clark County Department of Aviation, is part of a $4 billion capital plan for McCarran additions over the next four years. McCarthy began construction in September 2006 and work is scheduled for completion in September 2008. The two-story addition to the existing satellite “D” concourse will provide nine additional gates and will consist of a lower level for storage, mechanical and airline support facilities. The new 128,000-square-foot addition will be an exterior surface that features insulated glass with pre-finished aluminum panels. The project was designed by Tate Snyder Kimsey Architects. Upon completion of the northwest wing, the satellite “D” gates will total 44 gates.

 

Final Stage of Lear Industrial Center Breaks Ground

Panattoni Development recently announced that the company has begun work on Lear 390 in the Lear Industrial Center in Reno. The 390,000-square-foot industrial facility is the fourth and final building to be constructed at the Lear Industrial Center. It is located in the Silver Lake area of the Stead submarket. The center is master-planned for nearly 1.4 million square feet of industrial product. The architect is Tectonics Design Group and the builder is Panattoni Construction, Inc. Lear 390 is scheduled for completion this winter.

 

$50 Million Class A Office Park Planned

Stoltz Management Company and GoldenTree InSite Partners recently announced plans to break ground on Sunset Pilot Plaza, a 180,000-square-foot Class A office development in Hughes Airport in Las Vegas. The project is situated on nine acres at the intersection of Sunset Rd. and Pilot Rd., adjacent to McCarran International Airport. Sunset Pilot Plaza will feature two 3-story buildings totaling 180,000 square feet, with divisibility from 5,000 square feet. The development is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2008. JMA is the architect and Martin Harris Construction is the general contract.

 

LogistiCenter Reaches Milestone with Fourth Building

DP Partners recently announced it has erected the walls for the largest speculative industrial building in Southern Nevada at LogistiCenter in North Las Vegas. The 513,240-square-foot distribution center is the fourth building in the Center. The 102-acre, master-planned business park will feature up to seven distribution buildings totaling more than two million square feet of industrial space. United Construction Company is the general contractor. DP Partners plans to construct the fifth building at LogistiCenter this year, a 360,000-square-foot building slated for completion in 2008.
