How will your business be impacted if the Employee Free Choice Act is passed?

Sharon Powers, President & CEO, N. Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce

The Employee Free Choice Act takes away the rights of workers to a private vote and undermines the ability of employers to bargain in good faith with their employees. Card Check is dangerous to all sizes of business as it will give unions an unfair advantage.

Timothy E. Rowe, Partner, McDonald Carano Wilson LLP

It will make it easier for workers to unionize their employer’s business and to compel their employers to sign collective bargaining agreements through binding arbitration. As a result, businesses will need to be proactive in response to the potential for union activity in their work force.

Sharon Chayra, President, Chayracom

It will stymie growth and productivity at this tenuous time, disincentive entrepreneurialism, create mistrust and fortify the unions agenda. Employees already unionize, but eroding liberties for the specious argument of fairness should frighten everyone.
