Government Services Increase In Approval

Harris Interactive reports that recent survey results reflect a more positive attitude to government in general compared to three years ago. A major reason for this change is surely a decline in the belief that “government is the problem” and a stronger belief that “government is part of the solution” – as a result of the economic and financial crisis.

 

Legislation Looks To Restrict Credit Card Companies

The Credit Cardholders’ Bill of Rights was introduced last week. The bill would place restrictions on credit card issuers, including banning retroactive rate increases on existing balances for cardholders in good standing; requiring 45 days’ notice of all rate increases on new charges; banning “double-cycle billing,”; and outlawing “universal default” clauses.
