Nevada's Congressional delegation seeks way to boost tourism
WASHINGTON - As the summer vacation season begins this Memorial Day weekend, Congress is scrambling to pass legislation to revive the recession-battered travel industry in Nevada and other states. At the same time, Nevada lawmakers hope a trip to Las Vegas by President Barack Obama on Tuesday will inspire visitors to return to the state, where more than 230,000 jobs and nearly one-third of the budget depend on tourism.
