Nevada taxes rise for gaming industry
Nevada's gaming industry will absorb two tax increases today. First, the hotel-room tax goes up an average of 3 percent in Las Vegas and 1 percent at a few resorts in Reno, including the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa and Peppermill Resort Casino.
