Wal-Mart store to create 300 jobs in Reno
A 19-acre swath of vacant land north of the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino on East Second Street has begun transformation into a retail complex to be anchored by Wal-Mart next year. Flood control work and walkways along the Truckee River are nearly done, graders are moving dirt and crews have begun sidewalk and other improvements on the site owned by the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony.
