World 'players' to visit Reno
Reno will be center stage for the world's economic development leaders Oct. 4-7 after six years of planning and pestering by local business promoters. "We did a lot of clever pitching, magazines on hotel beds, all sorts of things to convince them this was the city to be in," Chuck Alvey, CEO of the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada, said last week.
