HomeAid Southern Nevada in July kicks off its back-to-school drive, collecting school supplies and personal hygiene items for Project 150, a nonprofit that helps homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students.
HomeAid aims to provide 1,000 backpacks filled with basic necessities in time for the start of school in early August.
“We’re proud to once again support Project 150 and their important outreach to and in support of local high school students,” said Caitlin Shea, executive director, HomeAid Southern Nevada. “Each $60 donation allows us to provide a backpack filled with essentials for school and life and we utilize donations to also provide college scholarships through Project 150 including $10,000 awarded this June.”
