Workforce Connections’ Business Engagement Specialist Team (B.E.S.T) invites youth ages 16 to 24 who are interested in learning about a new career while getting a paycheck to attend the first NxGen Youth Paid Internship Fair on Thursday, June 23 at 9 a.m. at Workforce Connections, 6330 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146.
Employers including BMC, Marshalls, Station Casinos, Chelton House, PLI, State Farm Insurance, Clean the World Organization, Goodwill of Southern Nevada, Originate, Farmers Insurance and New York Life will all have representatives at the internship fair ready to discuss opportunities for this summer and beyond.
“Youth who have real-world work experience have better success when they are wanting to enter the workforce full-time,” said Kenadie Cobbin Richardson, Workforce Connections director of Business Engagement and Communications. “This fair is an opportunity to expose this generation to a variety of careers and training to better position them for future employment. Plus, they can get paid in the process.”
Those attending the fair are encouraged to register at https://nvworkforceconnections.org/events/2016summerJobs/. On the day of the fair, attendees should arrive promptly at 9 a.m., and be dressed to interview. Please bring copies of a resume, if possible.
