LAS VEGAS – Nevada State Bank announced that Micah Phillips is joining the bank’s executive management team as executive vice president, marketing director.
In July 2015, Phillips was promoted to the position of senior vice president, marketing director. In this role, he has been responsible for the bank’s marketing and communications teams, as well as continued oversight of the product team. Bank executives said he has helped create a strong functional alignment between marketing, communications and products.
“Micah’s leadership has had a notable impact on the bank’s bottom line,” said Terry Shirey, president and COO. “He is well-respected by his colleagues, and his ability to collaborate across functional lines to achieve results will make him an excellent addition to the executive team.”
Phillips has more than 18 years of experience in the financial industry and earned a master’s of business administration degree from the University of Utah and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Phoenix. Currently enrolled in the Pacific Coast Banking School, Phillips started his career with Zions Bancorporation as a compliance officer and has a diverse background in banking. He is a graduate of the Leadership Henderson Program.
