How did you first get into your profession?
My family has a long history in general contracting, starting with my great grandfather. My father, who is also my mentor, continues to be a great inspiration to me. It was only natural for me to follow in his footsteps.

Complacency at work.
What do you want your legacy to be?
[I would like to be] remembered as a builder with a reputation for integrity.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be?
A professional hockey player; the same thing all the other boys wanted to be growing up in Calgary.
What business advice would you give someone just starting in your industry?
Don’t be afraid to be aggressive.
If you could have coined a single phrase of wisdom, what would it be?
Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.
What do you wish you would have learned at the beginning of your career?
Identifying the difference between a good client and a bad one.
What is the best moment of your career?
I’ve had many good moments. However, what stands out the most is when Michael Gaughan congratulated us on a job well done.
