RENO – Nevada State Bank has hired Shelly Dunbar, vice president and business development officer, to serve the northern Nevada community. In her role, Dunbar will be available to meet with local businesses about their banking needs and provide financial solutions. She will be based at the bank’s West Liberty location in Reno.
Dunbar brings several years of commercial real estate experience to her new role, having worked for CommCap Advisors, Northcap Commercial, and the PENTA Building Group. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance with a minor in marketing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dunbar is a 2011 graduate of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Las Vegas and a graduate of NAIOP’s Developing Leaders Institute. She has also served on the management committee for Urban Land Institute Nevada.

Dunbar has served on the board for Helping Hands of Vegas Valley and was chairwoman of its fundraising committee. She also served on the board of the UNLV Alumni Association and its Rebel Business Network committee.
