LAS VEGAS – Smart City Networks, the largest provider of event telecommunications and technology services for the conventions industry, announced the recipients of its annual holiday giving initiative providing donations to six charities across the United States.
Smart City provides telecommunications services to more than 35 convention and meeting facilities within the United States. Each year the company selects venue partners and invites their general managers to help choose local charities for Smart City’s annual donations.
This year, Smart City donated to six separate organizations. With the help of its employees, the company selected the following charities for its holiday giving initiative:
- The Bair Foundation in Dallas, Texas
- Heart of Florida United Way in Orlando, Florida
- The Rise School of Houston in Houston, Texas
- City of Phoenix Community Service Fund in Phoenix, Arizona
- The Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio in Columbus, Ohio
- Women’s Cancer Center of Nevada in Las Vegas, Nevada
“Smart City’s team members participate and support many great causes throughout the year in the communities in which we operate. It has been a long-held tradition of ours at year’s end to give to organizations that positively impact the communities responsible for so much of our success,” said Mark Haley, president of Smart City Networks. “It is also very important to Smart City that we continue to show our appreciation for our employees by funding causes and organizations that are meaningful to them.”
This is the eighth year that Smart City has dedicated thousands of dollars toward its holiday giving initiative and hopes to continue the tradition well into the future.
