Reno – First Independent Bank is helping the Hot August Nights Foundation, a nonprofit organization helping children in need or at-risk, collect warm coats for families during its annual coat drive.
The public can donate any new or gently used coats, especially those for children, at any of the First Independent Bank Branches in Northern Nevada. Donations can be dropped off during normal business hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, November 6, 2015.
The donated coats will be given to the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, which will ensure they go to families in need.
“This is a great opportunity to help support our community, and allow our customers the option to donate as well,” said Bob Francl, First Independent Bank Executive Vice President. “The Hot August Nights Foundation’s Annual Coat Drive is a worthwhile project that helps ensure families who are truly in need have good, warm coats to wear this winter.”
Those who can’t make it to a First Independent Bank Branch prior to November 6, 2015 can also donate during the Hot August Nights Foundation Annual Coat Drive on Saturday, November 7, 2015. At that time the public can drive to either A&W location (Reno – 900 East Plumb Lane; Sparks- 1131 Baring Boulevard) between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to drop off coats.
The Hot August Nights Foundation works to improve the quality of life for at-risk and in need youth within our community.
