Mische elected President of California Public Television and chair of the Pacific Mountain Network
RENO, Nev. – Kurt Mische, President and CEO of KNPB, has been re-elected to his second term as the Pacific Mountain Network executive committee chair. He was also elected the President of California Public Television and its sister organization, Californians for Public Broadcasting.
Pacific Mountain Network (PMN), facilitate the full development of public television in the Rocky Mountain and Pacific states. The core purpose of the PMN is to provide regional, instructional, cultural and enrichment resources and programs for its 31 member stations. Ron Pisaneschi of Idaho Public Television was elected Vice Chair, James Morgese of KUED Salt Lake City as Treasurer and Harris Ravine of Rocky Mountain PBS as Secretary. Each will serve a one year term.
California PTV is a group of 12 member PBS stations focused on helping stations fulfill their missions, advance the interests of the member stations and better serve the people of California. Also elected were Tom Karlo of KPBS TV&FM San Diego as Vice President, Phil Meyer of Valley PBS as Secretary and David Lowe of KVIE as Treasurer.
KNPB belongs to California Public Television by virtue of its service to the northeastern portion of California that includes, Susanville, Truckee, south and west Lake Tahoe, and surrounding areas.
