Workforce Connections and Clark County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly invite job seekers and those looking to advance their careers to a special town hall meeting on Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Clark County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Pkwy, Las Vegas, 89155, to learn more about becoming an (EMT) Emergency Medical Technician, Firefighter or Firefighter Paramedic.
“These are in demand careers that have a great starting salary, benefits and opportunity for advancement,” said Clark County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly, District D. “I want to make sure our community is aware of the help Workforce Connections offers to pay for training and prepare qualified candidates for open positions.”
To start the process, interested candidates are encouraged to complete an interest application at www.nvcareercenter.org/jobs and look for the job title: “Firefighter / Paramedic Interest Application.”
Candidates must be 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, be physically and mentally fit to perform, have their height in proportion to weight, have vision that meets the guidelines specified in order to hold a current Nevada Driver’s License, and be a non-smoker. Employers will perform a background check.
