The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association has appointed three new board members from Northern Nevada to the board of directors.
The officers and executive board announced that Niki Gross, managing director of the Whitney Peak Hotel in Reno, will serve on the NHLA Board. The property has been a member of the association for the past several months and Gross is an active member. She is hosting the summer member social networking event at the Whitney Peak Hotel on July 14.
Cheraz Ecker, general manager of the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, has been appointed to the board of directors. She has been a leader in the industry for over 20 years and brings valuable experience to the team.
Debra S. Lang previously served on the NHLA Board of Directors several years ago and is returning representing IHG properties in the northern and central regions of the state.
“One of our current goals at NHLA is to enhance services and resources for our Northern Nevada members,” said Diane Gandy, NHLA president. “We have assembled a NNV council of industry leaders as well as appointing experienced professionals to the board. We have scheduled various events in Reno throughout the next several months for our members. We look forward to working with our new board members and council as we further our benefits and visibility for members in the north while increasing membership, as well.”
