The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association has appointed Diane Gandy as the new president of the non-profit hospitality industry organization.
Gandy previously held the role of Executive Vice President and has been on the association staff since 2012.Ā Ā She had worked with NHLA frequently as a volunteer and member serving in various capacities including chairman of the board and the board of directors since the mid-1990s.
Gandy has an extensive career in the hospitality industry working for hotels and management companies in both Northern and Southern Nevada.Ā Ā She also worked for Priceline for nearly eightĀ years as the companyās first USA remote-based market manager as she built and managed a significant territory in the west coast hotel market for the OTA.
The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association serves the lodging industry by providing representation at the local, state and national levels in industry affairs as well as providing comprehensive and robust educational resources and programs. NHLA also offers valued member benefits and provides industry communications along with value-added member-based services.
In addition to leading the association, Diane recently launched and manages the Nevada State chapter of Women in Lodging in partnership with the American Hotel and Lodging Association.Ā Ā Women in Lodging in Nevada has gained national recognition with over 125 members statewide along with many relevant activities.
She recently received the āWomen of Distinctionā award for Southern Nevada from NAWBO. Diane has also achieved the AHLA Certified Guest Service Professional designation.
