How did you first get into your profession?
I spent 11 years working in my family’s tree farming business. In 2009, the industry took a hit, so I took an opportunity as a salesperson for an online marketing startup. I was excited to get involved in an emerging industry with a lot of growth potential.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be?
The first thing I remember wanting to be was the mayor because it sounded like an important position with a lot of responsibility.
What business advice would you give someone just starting in your industry?
Focus on your reputation, and the sales will come.
If you could have coined a single phrase of wisdom, what would it be?
“Whatever you do, do it from the feet up,” from American Hustle. It means that you have to put your whole self into whatever it is that you are doing.
