The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ) has joined When Georgia Smiled: The Robin McGraw Revelation Foundation as the newest member of a prestigious group of leaders working with the organization on the important issues of domestic violence and sexual assault.
When Georgia Smiled: The Robin McGraw Revelation Foundation (click for video) creates and advances programs that help victims of domestic violence and sexual assault live healthy, safe and joy-filled lives. Founder Robin McGraw is a philanthropist, entrepreneur, two-time #1 New York Times bestselling author and television personality. Founded in 1937, the NCJFCJ’s mission is to continuously improve the family court system and court practices and to raise awareness of the core issues that touch the lives of our nation’s children and families.

Since 1994, the NCJFCJ has trained more than 60,000 judicial officers and other stakeholders nationwide in handling domestic violence. Major focus areas include domestic violence policy development and implementation; the overlap of domestic violence; child maltreatment and juvenile justice; custody, parenting time, and supervised visitation and exchange; protection orders and firearms; and adolescent partner violence and elder abuse.
In 1994, the NCJFCJ established the Resource Center on Domestic Violence: Child Protection and Custody, which is a present-day authority. In 2011, the NCJFCJ was selected by the Office on Violence Against Women to provide technical assistance to all Office on Violence Against Women technical assistance providers nationwide. Last year, the NCJFCJ participated in the When Georgia Smiled Domestic Violence Summit: A Day To Connect, Inspire and Heal, a consortium of media, medical, athletics and entertainment professionals and influencers to engage in the domestic violence conversation.
