RENO, Nev. — The Nevada District office of the US Small Business Administration (SBA) has selected NCET’s Dave Archer as the 2015 recipient of the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award. This award is presented to the person who “has shown initiative, collaboration and leadership in fostering the development of small businesses in Nevada in the areas of education, financing, mentoring or These efforts have resulted in the startup, growth and/or success and reNCET’s Dave Archer as the 2015 recipient of the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award. Dave Archer is President and CEO of NCET, a member-supported nonprofit organization that produces events to help individuals and businesses explore and use technology. Archer is also the co-founder of the Reno Angels, Chair of Entrepreneurship Nevada, and a member of the Nevada System of Higher Education’s EPSCoR Advisory Committee.
The nominees for the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award are judged by an independent panel of small business leaders on a variety of criteria including active support action designed to help small businesses, evidence of increased business opportunities for small business as a result of the nominee’s actions, demonstrated success in obtaining support within the community for the establishment small businesses, and other accomplishments demonstrating the nominee’s effective advocacy small businesses.
