The Young Entrepreneurs Collective and Co-Working Space give rural entrepreneurs a leg up on small business Fallon, Nev. — The City of Fallon introduces the Young Entrepreneurs Collective (YEC), a group bringing business owners and entrepreneurs together to collaborate on projects benefiting the community and entire entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The goal of the Fallon YEC is to encourage business owners to be more involved within the community, in turn encouraging those with entrepreneurial spirit to start businesses.
This group also spearheads a planned collaborative working space funded by the City of Fallon above the Old Post Office. Opening Friday March, 27 2015, this new co-working space both supports the small businesses that are the backbone of the city and also sparks a new round of business growth in the community. By providing an affordable, collaborative office space, the City of Fallon aims to foster the growth of the local entrepreneurial community.
“Small businesses and entrepreneurs continue to be the core strength of our economy,” said Andrea Schell, Fallon YEC co-founder. “The City of Fallon recognizes that our community needs this resource and has helped create an avenue for entrepreneurial success.”
By working with local non-profits, businesses and stakeholders, the Fallon YEC creates awareness for all activities and funding opportunities for young business owners.
The Fallon YEC Co-Working Space hosts a grand opening in March with a day of networking and speakers from Start Up Weekend, the Small Business Development Center, the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and Battle Born Venture Fund.
