LAS VEGAS — Joel Just, a community association industry veteran, has acquired Nevada Association Services, Inc. and become its chief executive officer.
David Stone, who founded NAS in 1999, remains the licensed collections manager for the company, which collects overdue community association assessments through nonjudicial foreclosure. Financial terms of the buyout weren’t disclosed.
“I’m privileged to be the principal of Nevada’s most progressive and forward-thinking ‘no cost to the homeowners association HOA collections agency,” Just said. “I’m thrilled that David, who founded our company in 1999, remains our licensed collections manager. He has been — and remains — instrumental to our success.”
Just has worked in finance, real estate and engineering in companies including Texas Instruments and Philips Semiconductors. After a number of years with RMI/Red Rock Financial Services, a collection agency, Eagle Rock Asset Management and other real estate investment firms — for which he served as president and CEO — Just is returning to the community association industry.
As Red Rock Financial Services’ leader, Just oversaw the company’s nationwide expansion. Red Rock Financial Services, a subsidiary of FirstService Residential Management, served more than 500,000 homeowners at more than 2,500 U.S. community associations including those in Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Florida and Virginia.
“I’m returning to my passion: helping community managers and HOAs achieve their goals,” Just said. Just, a University of Idaho graduate, is a kidney donor, designer of speech aids for people with voice cancer and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) , a hiker and dad.
He’s been active in the Lions Club and will champion NAS Inc.’s community outreach.
Nevada Association Services, Inc., at 6224 W. Desert Inn Road, is Nevada’s largest “no cost to the homeowner association” collections company, specializing in collections for community associations.
