TISOH Graduates elected to Direct the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association

Two alumni from TISOH have been elected to the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association Board of Officers.LAS VEGAS – Two alumni from The International School of Hospitality’s (TISOH) art of concierge certificate program who now have careers at The Venetian and The Palazzo have been elected to the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association Board of Officers.

Cecilia Darr, concierge supervisor at The Venetian and The Palazzo, has been elected president of the association. The 2010 TISOH graduate launched her hospitality career as part of the opening team at the Mandalay Bay Concierge Desk and within the year was promoted to her current position. She has served on the Southern Nevada Concierge Association Board of Officers since 2011 as secretary and public relations director.

Timothy Thompson, concierge manager at The Venetian and The Palazzo, has been elected secretary of the association. Thompson graduated from TISOH in 2007, and that same year was hired at the Palazzo as a concierge agent. He was promoted to supervisor in 2009 and to manager in 2011. Since graduating from TISOH, he has returned to the school as a guest judge for students’ final presentations and as a guest speaker representing the concierge association.

The Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association is a professional organization for hotel concierges dedicated to providing the highest level of service possible to hotel guests and visitors. Members consider themselves ambassadors for the city and pride themselves on being knowledgeable, while remaining committed to continuing their education in the art of concierge.
