LAS VEGAS – Stacy Watkins, senior vice president and regional manager for Nevada State Bank, was appointed chairman of the board of directors for Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada, a nonprofit that provides business, economic and life-skills programs to enhance the education of young people.
No stranger to the great work of JA, Watkins has been a volunteer and advocate for financial literacy through JA since 2001 and has served on its board of directors for the past seven years including as vice chairman for the past two years. She also served as chair for the education committee for three years and established the marketing committee in 2012. For many years, Watkins has championed Nevada State Bank’s efforts with JA.
“It’s been a great privilege to work with Junior Achievement over the years and I’m excited to be able to do more as chairman of the board,” said Watkins “I truly enjoy inspiring, developing and working with young people who need someone to believe in them and help them find their true and full potential.”
Watkins, whose banking career spans more than 20 years, oversees the retail banking network for one of Nevada State Bank’s southern Nevada regions.
