RENO, Nev. – Q&D Construction announces the promotion of Duane Boreham to vice president, Aviation Services. As head of the Aviation Services Division for the 50-year-old company, Boreham is responsible for management of all Q&D Aviation Services projects, which range from single kiosk installations to multi-million-dollar baggage system upgrades, terminal expansions and major security revisions.

Boreham joined Q&D Construction in 2001 as a project manager, working his way up to senior manager after the successful completion of the $55 million Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) Automated Baggage Control (ABC) Project in 2009.  During that project, Boreham laid the foundation for the Q&D Aviation Services Division, developing relationships in the industry and formulating plans to deploy Q&D’s services across the country.  He returned to RNO in 2011 as leader of the Construction Manager at-Risk team to manage the next phase of upgrades: the $23 million Gateway project, a complex, phased expansion, remodel, and communications upgrade and security improvement project completed in 2013.

Since 2009, Q&D’s aviation work has expanded to include more than 50 different U.S. airports and major airline clients such as Southwest, United and Delta who value Q&D Aviation Services’ relationship-driven approach to each project. Boreham’s teams have completed projects at more than 50 airports including Chicago-Midway Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, Phoenix Sky Harbor, San Francisco International Airport, and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Dallas Love Field and Houston Intercontinental Airport.

In addition to his vast experience in the aviation field, Boreham is an active member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and International Partnering Institute (IPI), a non-profit corporation devoted to research and implementation of partnering concepts and techniques in construction project settings.

“Duane’s efforts in managing the Q&D Aviation Services Division have been invaluable to the growth and success of our organization,” said Chief Operating Officer Lance Semenko. “His work ethic and expertise are a great example of the Q&D commitment to excellence and we look forward to watching Duane’s vision for the Division come to fruition in coming years.”
