Russell Oberhelman, Adrienne Morgan and John Hansen of the Las Vegas-based Johnson Jacobson Wilcox CPAs visited E.W. Griffith Elementary School to announce the winner of the firm’s annual art contest during the end-of-the-year assembly.
Fifth graders submitted artwork for the contest, depicting whey they are proud to be Americans. Phoebe Ray’s winning artwork will be featured on the firm’s Fourth of July card.
Johnson Jacobson Wilcox team members presented the school with a $5,000 check on June 3, and the winning student received a basket of art supplies
Laurie Johnson, a shareholder with Johnson Jacobson Wilcox CPAs, said, “The southern Nevada community has provided us with many opportunities and we feel it is very important to give back to our local community. Many of us were students in the Clark County School District and we feel one of the best ways to give back to our community is through education. We truly enjoy getting the students’ perspective, in art form, of what America means to them.”
