McDonald’s to Host Annual Green for Grads Fundraising Event

WHAT:

McDonald’s is hosting its annual Green for Grads scholarship fundraising event. During the one-day event, all Southern Nevada restaurants will donate $1 from every Extra Value Meal purchased locally. Funds raised will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas scholarship program.

Dozens of community leaders including Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman, North Las Vegas Mayor John J. Lee and Clark County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani will volunteer their time to work at local restaurants and raise donations for the scholarship program.

Last year’s Green for Grads event resulted in a total of $52,600 dollars in donated scholarship funds. In 2013, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas awarded more than $367,000 to 149 local high school seniors and 49 Alumni.
