Control Power Concepts (CPC Inc), a veteran-owned power engineering and technical field services company, recently received the prestigious honor of InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA) accreditation. CPC Inc is the only power systems firm headquartered in Las Vegas to become a fully-accredited member of NETA.
During its extensive vetting process, NETA’s goal is to ensure the highest standards of safety and reliability are met. CPC Inc was measured for its stability of sound business practices in addition to the technical competence of individual technicians. Per NETA’s standards, annual training and education is required to maintain technician certification.
The outcome of this two-year, highly rigorous evaluation comes as no surprise to CPC Inc founder and president, John A. Travis. “We at CPC have always considered it our responsibility as industry experts to advocate for the end user of the equipment we service and test. This is at the core of what NETA is striving to achieve.”
Established in 2006, CPC Inc came to be after Travis’ engagement as a key member of the team deploying power systems for the Casino Resort developments in the SAR of Macau. In the years following, CPC Inc developed a notable client and projects list, including some of the largest power generation facilities in the nation. Locally, CPC Inc commissioned the Copper Mountain Solar project near Boulder City, NV. It continues to provide consulting and technical services to the gaming facilities both here in Las Vegas and Macau.
With NETA-accreditation firmly established, CPC Inc intends to grow with its market. Travis’ practice of hiring locally means good things for engineering graduates of UNLV and ITT; expansion into Arizona and Montana has already begun.
