The theme for the luncheon, which will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Tuscany Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, will be: “Elevating and Celebrating The Conversation.” The keynote speaker will be Brian Murphy, M.D., who will address the importance of having these conversations and ways to initiate these discussions with your family and friends. Health care providers will learn some tips when dealing with patients who are seriously ill and their families.
In addition to providing significant information encompassing end-of-life care, Nathan Adelson Hospice is holding its Multicultural Awards Program at the event, in which honorees each year are recognized for their efforts inpromoting and educating the community about end-of-life care. The Diversity in Action Award will be given this year to Palm Mortuary, Cemeteries and Crematories, a business that has contributed to or enhanced the community by actively and positively embracing, celebrating, and promoting diversity in end-of-life care.
