Human Trafficking Awareness Rally by Break These Chains-Live Free

Las Vegas, Nevada: Please join Break These Chains-Live Free, a Nevada non-profit organization, for a Rally to raise awareness about the plague that is human trafficking. Join us on Saturday, January 11, 2014, 2PM until 3PM, First Street Stage, Fremont Street Experience, Downtown, Las Vegas. The Rally, sponsored by Break These Chains and Southern Nevada members of Soroptimist International, will include live performances by vocalist Laini Risto and Culture Shock Las Vegas. Listen to the original song, Break These Chains by Carolyn McClure with arrangements by Jake Cox. Participants will receive Live Free bracelets: orange chains symbolizing the physical and mental bondage suffered by thousands of human trafficking victims. Learn about the trafficking of children in Las Vegas and other areas of our Nation. Help recognize local organizations that provide services to trafficking victims, including Friends of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, SafeNest and The Salvation Army.

Break These Chains Live Free focuses attention on, and educates the general public about, the problems of human trafficking through social media and live events as well as the promotion of the Live Free bracelets. Soroptimist International is a service organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls locally and throughout the world. Four Southern Nevada Soroptimist International affiliates (Greater Las Vegas, Las Vegas Valley, Metropolitan Las Vegas and Pahrump Valley) created Break These Chains-Live Free to galvanize the anti-trafficking movement by song, video and symbolic bracelets. All are volunteer run entities.
