LAS VEGAS, Nev. - TruFusion, a new local Las Vegas fitness boutique that offers classes including yoga, Pilates, kettle bells and TRX, is hosting a toy drive to benefit Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN), an organization that helps those affected by HIV and AIDS in Southern Nevada. The last-minute rally for toys will be a “Tru Sweat-a-thon” event that features 24 hours of continuous classes such as dance fusion, black light power flow yoga and vino & vinyasa. Visit trufusionyoga.com for a complete event schedule.
Tru Sweat-a-thon will begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, December 8 and end at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 9.
“TruFusion is grateful for the support its new fitness studio is receiving from the Southern Nevada community and is hosting the drive as a way to give back,” said Ruth Furman of ImageWords, a spokeswoman for TruFusion Yoga.
New and unused toys may be dropped off in the designated bin at TruFusion, located at 8575 S. Eastern Avenue in Las Vegas, during operating hours. Donors will receive a TruFusion 1-day pass. When a new guest redeems that pass and takes a class, TruFusion will donate $1 to AFAN.
“Passes are transferable and make great stocking stuffers,” Furman said.
When the Tru Sweat-a-thon commences, the classes that are part of the event will be offered at no charge for a donation of a new and unwrapped toy or toys, or a cash donation with all proceeds going to AFAN. Throughout the course of the toy drive, when a customer purchases an annual TruFusion Yoga membership, a discounted rate will be offered with a portion of the proceeds going to AFAN.
